·         How do children view God at various stages of development?

·         What are the characteristics of demon possession?

·         What conditions are often mistaken as demonic possession?

·         What are the major causes of psychological problems?

·         What disorders are the major psychological disorders and what are their symptoms.

 

  1. Read pages 249-250 and 259-261 in Introduction to Psychology and Counseling completing the chart on childhood conceptions of God and taking notes on the red flags

Evaluation (Due: Tuesday, April 15)

Complete ONE of the following:

  1. Research a famous person who possessed one of the psychological disorders listed and briefly discussed in the chapter.  Write a 500 word paper that describes their condition, and how it has impacted upon their lives, and how they have managed to live with it and function in life.

 

  1. Write about a person that you know who has one of the psychological disorders listed and briefly discussed in the chapter.  In a 500 word paper describe their condition, and how it has impacted upon their lives, and how they have managed to live with it and function in life.

 

  1. Interview a person with one of the psychological disorders listed and briefly discussed in the chapter. Make a transcript of the interview.  Transcript should be at least 500 words in length. In the interview make sure you ask the following questions as well as any other questions you may want to ask:

 

    • How has this condition manifested itself in your life?
    • In what ways has __________________________ impacted upon your life and relationships?
    • How have you managed to live with and function in life with this condition?
